If you can use the EFI+GPT system, then that would be great. Sometimes the lack of compatibility with older operating systems - Windows 7 - can be a consideration that precludes its use.

True however Win 7 SP1 does support UEIF GPT, my notebook is running this way. I don't really see much difference other than the lack of having a corrupted MBR. Its the way all new computers are shipping. So for me the faster I figure it out.:D There are issues with back up programs, not so much normal back ups but Images and restoring Images. Macrium Reflect has no problems with it. Acronis says they have it, but the best I can tell it will only restore a partition not a full complete disk image. I haven 't tried to restore any of my images yet!! It seems they have problems restoring the boot partition correctly. Anyway Macrium has it solved so the rest will follow.
