"Joe Public invited to hunt God particle"

This is very interesting, thought I would pass it on.
    http://lhcathome.web.cern.ch/LHCathome/Physics/
Excerpt::: "...LHC@home 2.0's first project, Test4Theory@Home, "allows users to participate in running simulations of high-energy particle physics using their home computers".
"The results are submitted to a central database which is used as a common resource by both experimental and theoretical scientists working on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Hopefully, these explanations can help give an idea of why the computing resources made available by volunteers in this way can be crucial for improving our understanding of what is really happening inside the beam pipe of the Large Hadron Collider."..."

Incredible what is being done today with idle computers.
    Just food for thought.
I am still in awe of the 'FOLDERS' efforts. enjoy.

I guess I'm happy that there are so many distributed computing options available to people who want to be involved, but I'm not sure that this one is for me

    nor I..
    very interesting though..
they were having trouble with what they called 'rogue' users, computers..
and temp shut down the workload..

For every glimmer of LIGHT there is someone or something
filled with darkness that seeks to destroy...sad really.c.
