Hi everyone, I am new here but have been in the game since lga 755.

I got a new laptop for college and figured, why not get ROG? xD

Anyway, Post up your 3dmark scores and overclock results. I am really interested in g55/g75 scores only because there seems to be a sticky for everyone else already. Ok here are mine.

Ice Storm: 89318
http://www.3dmark.com/is/645721

Cloud Gate: 11951
http://www.3dmark.com/cg/576243

Fire Strike: 2105
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/614918

My system overclocks:

Cpu 3610qm overclocked to 3.256ghz (raised base clock to 105mhz, seems VERY stable and I think I can get more out of it.)
the cpu overclock really helps bring up physics scores, in fact I think I have the highest physics scores of anyone with comparable hardware, I credit that to my cpu OC, I also think I have the highest cpu OC as well. I think people need to look into overclocking the 3610qm because there is lots to gain performance wise.

GPU oc to 1085mhz using percision x. I am unsure if I want to go any higher here, but it seems like high gpu core clocks are the only thing separating me from the top 10 g55/g75 scores on 3dmark to date.

GPU memory oc to 2900mhz, haven't pushed it farther because I just wanted to get something that I was confident in for now and push it harder later. This was a very easy and stable overclock. Damn heat wave in the bay area, ca is driving my
temps up but gpu stays around 81c and cpu 91c but the ambiant temps in my room have be 85f+ so its doing ok.

It has been over 100f+ here in the bay area this week O_O.

Right now out of "comparable hardware" I rank 21th overall in each test ^_^.

SO, let me see you top 20 and what you did to get there because I think I still have some untapped potential in this laptop and I believe I can get up there in scores.

How did you OC an Ivy Bridge?? I thought you couldn't do anything with the 3rd gen Intel processors...

It was easy. I used Intel Extreme Overclock utility with bios version 217. Like I said, I think I can push the cpu higher as well. Possible 3.3 or 3.4 ghz.

it also overclocks RAM and uncore as well which I think is the main limitation, and heat. I will probably need to re-paste my chips too in order to get the max clocks for benchmarks.

We already have a 3DMark thread on this forum, did you do a search?

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28872-The-New-3DMark-Post-Your-ROG-Notebook-Scores-Here!

In any case, I'll quote myself from that thread.

Since then a few more notebooks have beat my Ice Storm score, but not my Cloud Gate or Fire Strike scores. I can only imagine that they're possibly using some modified drivers to give them a higher score on Ice Storm, the low end benchmark.

ZeroBarrier Sorry, I didn't see it under g55/g75 however I have seen you on 3dmark.com. I am RobbieWilson on 3dmark.com and am in the
top 10 or so in "similar hardware" I see you consistently in the number 1 position. I am working my way up to beat your scores ;).

Gpu is only at 1200mhz right now xD. I am sure you are at 1300 or something close. I found that cpu overclocking helps
a lot with the physic's score too, just so you know.

I consistently score higher than you on the physics part. Now just to
clock the gtx 660m higher.
