Was that both sticks from one kit? or one stick from one and one stick from another. You will have to separate the kits and test each kit separately. You can do this by serial numbers on the sticks themselves. One kit should have consecutive numbers. You will also have to test a known good stick in each slot. That way you eliminate bad slots. Follow HiVizMan's guide to the letter with each kit separately. If all good and you then mix kits and have problems you´ll know it's that, as opposed to bad sticks or bad slots....

ted west! you're very welcome...we're getting closer to a solution I think....I presume 13/14 are a working kit and 11/12 is not happy. I'd be interested in 12 plus 13 and or 14...

If you've followed HiViz's guide I presume you have ruled out bad slots on the motherboard...

But heading towards returning that kit of RAM....

I'm running 12 and 13 at the moment. I'm going to pop in the pc shop tomorrow where I bought all the parts from, I'm going to see if he will take back the all the ram and sell me a 64gb kit I've had the ram for about 3 weeks so he might not

Well it looks like 11/12 kit doesn't like 13/14 kit....what does surprise me is that 11 doesn't play nice with 12...but maybe apart from the kits don't like each other 11/12 is faulty....so that kit goes back for sure...if not through the vendor then RMA direct...

Not sure why you want so much ram but if you need it then yes, I would get a single kit and for 64GB out of high density density modules you will want to plug in the extra EZ plug for additional power if you aren't already...

I went to pc shop this morning he said he already tested the memory and found no faults he said he said he used windows memtest and if it was faulty it would have told him and given him an rma number with out this he cant send it back. I think its a case of I've had your money I'm not interested sorry what is the extra EZ plug all I have plugged in is the 24 pin and a 8 pin for the cpu I've noticed a 4 pin for the cpu should I have this plugged in as well

If I were you I would deal direct with Corsair and RMA the kit that does not work. The guy knows little about memory testing...windows memtest is not the gold standard in memory testing.

You will be fine as you are RE power connections. The 4 pin ATX is extra power to CPU...for OCing...people do plug it in and you can do if you have the cable...it might give smoother power delivery. The EZ plug (p2-34 manual) is a 4 pin floppy connector for extra power to RAM...but as I say only necessary if you go for 64GB of memory......
