    hi ZKa17
It's done one pass with no errors, but I will let it run for the night . As I mentioned before, i'm very new to this and have very little knowledge of bios ram settings etc I purchased all the parts and got a pc shop to set it up, but after reading the forums for the last couple of weeks I started to think this system might be a bit too complex for him. When I mentioned things like trim ect he said he'd never heard of it so I don't know if it's even set up properly. It seems to work, but it just seems very unstable. I have run real bench and the stress test, and it said that the computer was stable, it just seems to go wrong sometimes when its turned on and 4 out of 5 times when using sleep .
    Thanks for all your help

Hmm OK I was wondering. Running two kits even though they are "identical" can lead to problems. A single kit is binned to work as just that...a single kit....adding another might seem like a logical match but the chips that make up the other kit are similarly binned to run together but maybe at slightly different sub timings etc. etc. so compatibility between kits is certainly a harder thing to set up and in worst cases not possible.

For the best possible chance of running the two kits I would take them out completely and then separate the kits....you can do this by the serial numbers on the sticks themselves. You could then try running just one kit on the red slots. If all is fine you could then add the second kit to the black slots....

Maybe have a read through this http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...untry=&status= you might find it useful in setting up the ram and maybe tweaking things like voltage and DIGI+ settings to give yourself a better chance at stability.......

Yes AI siute and corsair link are a bit special shall we say. Neither of them likes other programs of that type installed and if you had both I should not wonder they gave you problems.

By the way after uninstalling AI suite you can have stuff left over...there is a batch file for removing completely...http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28319-AI-Suite-II-uninstall-cleaner

OK I see the RAM are 8GB sticks and you have 4 of them right? all on the red slots? going up to 64GB with 4 kits I think would be a miracle if it worked!

Maybe try setting up what you have now entirely manually....how to at end of that guide....

RAM timings is still something I am learning about every time I go back to them....but copying the timings from the XMP profile and entering them manually is not hard.

If you have a USB pen formatted FAT32 and you press F12 in BIOS it saves a screen cap to the pendrive so you can post up what you have in BIOS here even....

    This guide http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?25510-Rampage-IV-Extreme-RAM-Guide&country=&status=

If the steps are unclear let me know and in any case there are plenty here who can help you if you have any doubts etc....
