    yeah
    it is the "latest" version
it has wireless AC which is solely on the 5GHz band and of course you can useit on 5Ghz Wireless N band.

but that is expensive as balls! you could buy 2 for that price...
try your online retailers they probably have it cheaper

In the same location I was before, the Atheros would get 3-5Mbps while right now the 7260 gets 35Mbps stable. Direcgt Connected I get 35Mbps so to me it's perfectly fine. I have it paired with the Asus RT-AC66U and very happy now. Wireless was my biggest problem with this computer and it was a real walk in the park to do. Asus kept telling me it was integrated but it's not. It's just on the top of the MB and requires you to remove the keypad so it takes longer then most computers who have the wireless card in an upgradeable location.

My advice to anyone who has slight problems with you wireless is just to do it. If you can't do it yourself then a shop should be able to do it for no more than $100. I'd be happy to do it for anyone located in Florida as it makes such a huge improvement.
I was starting to have connection issues with my lappy and upgraded do to your suggestion along with putting in some matching CORSAIR Vengeance sticks in "16 Gigs" and I have to say that I'm one happy panda now. Thanks a bunch.

with a compatible .ac wifi router, intel 7260 can reach the full speed 867Mbps

Today installed the 7260 in my G75VW. Very easy to install only took about 20 minutes and with my new AC router it amazing on the download speeds.
I think that Newegg made a mistake though and sent me four of the 7620 modules so now I have 3 extras!

Yep, just got my 7260 today and just finished installing it. Holy crap! I only have 105mbps internet but I'm sucking every bit up with this new card. Up from about 50mbps with the Atheros. It was extremely simple to install as well and for $30, well worth it!

Ive installed the 7260 in my G75VW and have been having different problems.

I uninstalled the old atheros drivers

placed the new card in and installed drivers, ive gotten the bluetooth to work twice both times after a fresh install of the drivers. after a restart no bluetooth in site. No where in device manager as it was shown before.

While the bt was working i was able to connect my phone as a bluetooth device and everything worked fine, after restart gonezo.

If theres any suggestions on what to do i would appreciate the help. Thanks everyone

I got the 7260 in my G55VW. Works like a charm. Make sure you download the latest drivers for both wifi and bluetooth from Intel. I've had some issues in the past with previous drivers.
