Which graphics card is better?

So, there are 2 gtx 770s that I'm looking at and just wondering if anyone knows what the difference and why the price change. Both cards are EVGA and the specs are identical and the only thing I can tell is different is the fans. The one last has 2 fans is cheaper than the reference card but I would've thought that the reference card would have been cheaper. I'm leaning towards the ACX because I would think it runs cooler.

Here are the 2 cards:

$519 - http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3777-KR

$509 - http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3778-KR

LOL, that's a good question!

Maybe EVGA had some spare custom coolers around, or maybe they just lowered the price to allow the new cooler a nice start on the market...

I would get the one with two fans...

Tough choice huh?
I will get ACX one. Reference fan looks noisy...
If you don't need 4gb then get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121770

it can be that they got the card clean whit out a stock cooler on it ( just a guess ) or it could be like Z there posted.

Just received it 😄 I don't know how I got it to run on my PSU though. Supposed to have a min of 12v and 42amps per rail on 600w+ PSU and my PSU is 650w and 12v with 24amps per rail. I wasn't expecting the GPU to start up but it did 1st time. The GPU came with a free back plate AND a free copy of Splinter Cell Blacklist Deluxe w/DLC. Now to find a new PSU...

Nice toy you have there, mate. A 750W unit should work well with your build. Assuming you won't be adding another one down the road, of course. 🙂

how does the the asus gtx 770 dc2 scale up to the EVGA's one?

The EVGA Classified ACX has the highest clocks of the 770 line. I purchased the 4gb model which bumps the clock even higher @ 1150 and 1202. Asus hasn't come out with a 4gb model yet. Otherwise I would have probably purchased the Asus. I haven't really benched it yet but it's running @ 29c at idle...where as my old GTX 480 idled at 47c.

LOL, the difference in a GTX480 and GTX770 is huge... the technology has evolved a lot... 🙂
