    System specs are as follows:
Crosshair V Formula 990FX, Bios 0506, Phenom II X6 1090T, 16GB Corsair Vengeance Blue DDR3 PC3-12800(1600) CAS 9-9-9-24 1.5V, 2 8GB kits not a 16GB kit if your wondering, Saphire HD 6950 2GB, Corsair Force GT 120 GB, 2x1TB Segae Barracuda 1x500 Seagate Barracuda, Water Cooling for CPU, Thermaltake Armor, Viper 750w PSU, Windows 7 x64

At time of writing this prime has been running again for over 30 mins I will prolly run it for another 30 - 60 mins since my system was crashing on boot or soon after before the current settings I think an hour will at least show that its more stable but ill no doubt be doing a few hours of gaming later so we will see then too.
Im actually running the same RAM kit - 2 8gb kits, 4x4gb - and it wasnt an issue with my M5A97 mobo but it seems like this board wants to run it at 1333mhz rather than the factory spec 1600. Have you had any RAM problems with running the two kits? I was thinking about getting Dominator 1866's but I noticed that the approved vendor list is strange regarding those manufacturer product codes. Almost none of them match the product codes on Newegg, Amazon, Tiger Direct, et al.

I have been looking, but cannot find much on what if any 32gb sets work on this board. If there is another post I would appreciate a link.

The reality is that probably ANY DDR3 kit of 4x8gb sticks will work without any issues, as long as you stick to 1888Mhz or below. Going above that up to 2400Mhz you will probably STILL get it to work, but you will have to really fuss with it. The problem isn't getting memory to work with this board, it's getting it to run at the rated speed.

Using the Extreme OC profile in the BIOS almost all XP enabled memory will automatically fill in it's timings and details, and work. Otherwise you have to configure it manually.

I've been trying every stick of DDR3 I could lay hands on and so far haven't found ANY that wouldn't work. Currently I am using 4x4GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133

Note however, even though all indications from the system, and external 3rd party software, indicate that my Corsair memory is running at it's rated 2133Mhz... my Kingston Hyper X Fury 1600Mhz still outperforms it in every benchmark.

I have been using AMD Radeon Memory Gamer Series Four 4 gig strips for a total of 16 gigs - 240-Pin DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) CL10 1.65V Unbuffered Internal Memory Module AG316G2130U1Q . I over clock it to 2400 with no problem at all. I Also use an Amd 9590 and 3 x SLI MSi gaming edition gtx 770 tf 4gb graphics cards. This mobo is better than any AMD mobo out there trust me, Ive tried em all. I thought the Asrock 990fx was going to be the best. But it would not let me over clock my rig half as well as this mobo, I also used the TUF series mobo and wasnt pleased. I spent about $3000 untill I came up with my perfect combination. Keep in mind I also use A LEPA G Series 1600-Watts ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Ready Crossfire 80 Plus Gold Certified Full Modular 240-Pin 1700 Power Supply (G1600-MA). With this combination you will get the smoothest oc. I rank 98% better than all results using 3D mark fire strike. I think I rank 4th out of everyone who uses AMD fx 9590 cpu, On the real bench hof. Hope my info helps.

You best have cooling solution for a full load, all boards recommend cooling RAM if all slots filled.

How to set up this to work correctly?

    Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2400MHz 16GB 2x8

I have the same issue with the vga drivers failing trying to get 2400Mhz, except i'm on the CVF & a GTX 970 strip, did you find a solution for this?
    Kind regards Michael
