My G750JW CD drive is unable to read or burn disks. What do.

Device manager: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

Have you contacted Asus support? If your not past the return time from your vendor that would be the best option? Maybe they can drop in a good DVD Player/burner rather than swap out the whole unit?
