That power saving guide shaved off 5-10C off my at-load temperatures. Gave me what I needed to attempt 4.6GHz from a stable 4.5GHz.

Recommended....
Maximus VI Hero, Intel 4770K, Kingston Beast 8GB DDR3 2400, Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti OC 2GB, OCZ Vertex 4, Antec Kuehler H2O 920, Antec Eleven Hundred case.

which sections did you focus on to lower your temps when CPu is idle? I'm quite interested to try that out.,.....

I also now tried the power saving guide, and implemented only the CPU stuff. Idle temps dropped 4-5C, load temps dropped by 10C !

wonderful... I'm happy to live with Intel specs the way it is without Multicore enhancements .. good stuff in the guide.

Really? I will certainly be trying it out when i'm back around my PC again
8700K / Noctua U12S / Maximus X Hero / 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz / EVGA GTX 1080 Ti / Seasonic Prime 650W / 4 x 1TB SSD / 970 Pro 512GB M.2 / Game Zero Headset / K95 Platinum / Logitech G502 / Win 10 x64/ ViewSonic XG2701 1080p 144Hz

Great guide! I got 10-12C temp lower and very quiet CPU.

Thanks a lot!

It would be nice to see what was discussed in these guides. They should either be re-posted or this topic should be un-stickied.
