G75VW - incompatibility Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz
Hello I'm new to these forums,
I need help for a problem of incompatibility of memories.
I have an ASUS G75VW-DS73-3D, Core i7-3610QM 2.3GHz, 12GB DDR3, GTX 670M 3GB
I just bought 4 memories of Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866MHz each. In total there are 32 GB.
This is where the problems begin. I noticed that the computer only works if I have at least one memory original machine coupled. The original models are from Elpida.
Trying to explain the problem.
A - If I put 1 memory of Corsair in the machine trying to connect my laptop the power button lights up for a bit then turn off. This occurs by placing two, three or four memories Simultaneously Corsair.
B - If I put 3 memories of Corsair, and one memory of Elpida machine hangs on windows startup.
C - If I put 1 memory of Corsair, and 1, 2 or 3 memories of Elpida, the machine starts normally.
D - If I put 2 memories of Corsair, and 1 or 2 memories of Elpida, the machine starts normally.
So I'm currently using the last configuration.
What I wonder is what is causing this problem that does not allow me to use the 4 sticks of Corsair at once?
Recalling that already atulizei the Bios to the latest version. And Windows I am using is Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
Thanks in advance.

You should run winfo64, with your stock RAM, this will tell you the what you have. It sounds like your having power problems. To mix you need RAM that has the same timings. If your not working with all four new sticks you got to have Ram that is taking to much voltage? If your new ram is incompatible there's no work around for that. except to get ram that is compatible. Several people here have upgraded to 32GB search the threads for which ones they used.
Check out this thread for some insight.Last edited by Clintlgm; 07-22-2013 at 09:22 PM.

@Edubecker, i'm sorry to say this but when some friends here tried to run corsair vengeance 1600MHz 4x8gb (timings: 10-10-10-27) and showed inconsistent results, we suspected that there were compatibility issues between the laptops and these rams. (there was another similar case about a hyperx ram kit with tighter timings, too). we were told that these rams were too 'aggressive' to these laptops.
if you wished to run 32gb ram, the working ones that i have seen working are 4x8gb 1600MHz (timings: 11-11-11-28, 10-10-10-28; 1.35v or 1.5v)

The g series note books can handle all four slots filled with stock stat ram you know 1600mhz if you want to put 1866mhz ram corsair you can only use 2 slots of 8gb sticks the reason is because each slot is only capable of putting out so much power easch slot can only give so much so when ypu use all four slots of 1866 its more than the laptop can handle and doesnt work nothat gkes with 44gb and 2gb sticks of 1866 only so if you want 32gb you have to use 1600 now as far as the brand itself I myself use corsair vengnce I have two 8gb sticks @1866mhz and they both run great never had any issues t
My ram runs at full speed or capacity 933. So if you want to use 1866 stay with 2 sticks only anything higher than that only use 1600 and try to stay with the same brnds in stead of mix match its less of a head ache.Asus G75VW-DS71

Thank you so much everyone for your help.
I would like to work a 32gb.
I'm thinking of changing the four memories of 1600mhz, clocks: 11-11-11-28, 10-10-10-28; 1.35V ou 1.5V.
So I will have no problems, correct?

Not sure but I think I would stick with the 1.3V however Rewben is running 32 GB on his machine successfully So I think I would follow his advise.

I had issues with 4 x 8gb Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 10-10-10-27, only 24gb would run.
I ended up buying two sets of these Mushkin Essentials 1.35v 11-11-11-28 and they work great.G75VW-DS73-3D | 670m 3GB | 32GB RAM | 1TB RAID-0 2 x 830 512GB SSD DualBoot | Killer-N 1103 WiFi

if you considered to use the same rams for newer haswell machines later, it's better to get 4x8gb of the same rams with 1.35V, instead of 1.5V.
11-11-11-28 should be the stock rams' timings. you will have no problem with that (just make sure don't mix the rams with different voltages. the outcomes are unknown)
