I had named the flash m6f1505.cap I renamed it just M6F.cap and the flash took about a min and a half or so. I stopped counting after it
did over 100 flashes. I feel it accepted the new 1505 bios. I tried starting it up without the cpu in and got 00 and then shut it down
and put the cpu back in and again, it just does 00. I called new egg and they said an outside source does the testing on these returned
motherboards, and that if I wanted to return it, I have 23 days left. That means even though I only received the VI Formula yesterday, that
they include shipping back and forth. I would get a full refund and they said they would add 25 bucks for my trouble.
I am really lost now as to what to do. If the intel Celeron G1820 Haswell Dual-Core for the 49 bucks will help me, I will order it, I just dont have
much time left. You would just not believe how all of this makes me feel. I was laid off from work a few weeks ago and have a lot of time on my
hands, and battlefield 4 just came out with some new maps and I cant play. To those who dont play games, this will seem silly, but I built this
computer just to play bf4 and hey, ya got to have some hobbies !!!
When I had bent socket pins in my old vi formula, I would get the codes 15 21 55 and the dram light would come on. Now with the DC cpu in place
or not, all I get is 00 so how am I suppose to be able to tell what is going on ? If I buy the right cheap cpu to get my pc to post, then I will be ok,
but I need to know for sure which on to buy. I know the list for supported cpu's on the asus website, but know nothing about which one to get
in order for my MB to be able to post and work enough to be able to eventually put the DC back in. Thank you so much for any help !!!

I'm using a 4770k and M6F and 1402 BIOS. Is it safe to update to the latest version 1505?
My set up:
Win 8.1 64 Bit
4770k @ 4.2 Ghz
2x MSi R9 290x crossfire
Asus Maximus VI Formula
Kingston HyperX 16GB 1600Mhz (2x 8GB)
Samsung 840 EVO SSD 500GB (Rapid Mode)
27" Samsung SA950D 1080p 120hz
Catalyst 14.7 - Mantle
I used to get blue screen before I delided my 4770k. After doing it with the vice method I am able to overclock upto 4.5Ghz and stay under 65 degrees celsius on 1.325v, I haven't tried over 4.5 Ghz though. Everything is stable on 4.5Ghz except BF4 it tends to freeze after a while after doing something really quick. Prime 95, Aida64 and 3DMark (Firestrike) run flawlessly on 4.5Ghz.
I keep my 4770k on 4.3 Ghz 1.248 as BF4 is very stable on it and temps do't go over 56 degrees celsius.Last edited by Astrix_au; 08-11-2014 at 02:13 AM.

Hello Guys
I'll be the first time visiting your Country. I'll be going to Los Angeles and Las Vegas 03 September to 11 September.
And I'm looking on Amazon and Newegg the Asus Maximus Formula VII and the i7-4790K, but I have a major dilemma:
* Buy only the i7-4790K and install on my M6F?
About installing i7-4790K in M6F:
- I have the i7-4770K and just update your BIOS only version 2.00.02?
- Someone who has installed the i7-4790K in the M6F, please help me by saying how to do?
ps: for me it will be economical to buy only the i7-4790K, but I am afraid can not do M6F recognize i7-4790K
Thank you for your help....

Just follow the guidelines and it will work like a charm. I already did the flash upgrade with no issues following the available guidelines in mentioned in this thread.
The problems start if you read about everyone else's problems and start deviating :-)

Does it really worth changing the 4770k to the 4790k? Money per performance.

Hey everyone!
Iv'e noticed since updating to 1505 and 1603 on my 4770K that my CPU cache voltage have increased. I have my CPU cache voltage set to 1.2500v but it's always at 1.29000v.
It used to only be .010 higher now it's .040 since updating my M6F BIOS. Normally at those BIOS settings my cache voltage would be 1.260 not 1.290 the 4970 cache voltages must be higher since those BIOS's are more meant for 4970k right?
I want to know if I can downgrade my BIOS to 1402 on my 4770K from 1603? My voltages were lower and would stay closer to what I set it in the BIOS. Iv'e tried turning Intel Speedstep on and off and makes no difference to voltage increase on 1603.ASUS Maximus VI Formula - i7 4770K - H80i - MSI R9 Fury X - HyperX 16GB Ram - 250GB + 500GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD - Benq XL2730Z 2560x1440p 144hz Freesync - Seasonic 1000w 80 Plus Platnum...

You can up- and downgrade to any version you want.
best way to do is to put the file on an usb stick and name it "m6f.cap"
power down your pc.
put stick in the rog connect port.
push rog connect button for 5 sec than release.
when light is not blinking anymore, update is finished (about 1 minute)
succes,
Jerome.
