    [G75VW] Try Recovery F9 - now stuck on recovery error 0xc0000225, pls help! [SOLVED]

    Just got my G75VW , new to this forum

    My G75 is preinstalled with win8,
    After a while, I'm trying to use recovery to reset my win 8 into factory-reset, but pressing F9 while boot makes it stuck on recovery error 0xc0000225 with 3 options : F8, retry, and setup UEFI - none of those works

    Now, my G75 stuck on 0xc0000225 error.

    thanx in advance for any help here ...

    You should try this procedure below!

    Spam the "F8" key after you hit the start button (make sure to start spamming as soon as you hit start button)
    This should bring you to the OS repair options (Screenshots below).

    1. Select "advanced options".

    2. Select "Automatic Repair".

    Hopefully this will fix your problem!
    Good luck!

    Thanx guys for your replies !

    Got back my win8 finally ! using http://www.qliktips.com/2012/11/fix-...oot-issue.html

    =======================
    Here's what I've done :
    1. Boot using Win8 setup DVD.
    2. Enter command prompt with Shift-F10 (or via Advanced repair option to bring command prompt)
    3. Type DISKPART (diskpart prompt will come out)
    4. Type LIST VOLUME (and note the one without drive letter)
    5. Type SELECT VOLUME 3 (mine was 3)
    6. Type ASSIGN LETTER=Z
    7. Type EXIT (back to DOS command prompt)
    8. Type BCDBoot c:\Windows /s z: /f UEFI
    9. Type EXIT
    10. Restart
    Voila !! Win8 will boot with 2 menu (select the first one)

    11. Winkey+R (command window) type msconfig (to bring windows configuration tool)
    12. At boot menu, delete the second boot menu (which has problem)
    13. Restart
    DONE !!

    =======================

    My next question is, how to bring ASUS Recovery mode to reinstall OS to it's factory-state ? seems that F9 key will bring windows recovery (or is it the same??)
    Just in case that I want to revert my G75 to factory-state

    Yes, if you use the F9 key to recover/reset or access this same function inside Win8 through the 'settings' charm/Change PC Settings/General/Remove everything and reinstall Windows (reset), and it will reinstall Windows back to the original factory-state (as long as the original recovery partitions are still intact).
    You can also see/use the reset/recovery option in GottiBoi55's first screenshot above.

    Didn't study your thread too carefully, but wondering if you will see the same error if you try to use F9 again although hopefully it will be okay this time.
