There never are any release notes, they list a couple things on the support page and that's it.

Guinea pig reporting...

I thought to give it a try and here's my (failed, so far) experience with it.

I updated from 4102 to this one (4206). First used BIOS Flashback method and got tired at wating after 8 hours of updating (the ROG button never stopped flashing) and so I disconnected the power (yea, that was a little bit extreme). Obviously the BIOS1 got corrupted and then started from the backup BIOS in slot 2 (it is 3101 I think). I managed to restore BIOS1 to my previous configuration (4102) and got everything running as before. I was determined though, to try the new version and now I updated sing the EZflashUtility method. Two things to note now:

1) The updating process is now controlled by "iROG-1"... I am almost certain that "iROG-2" was used before.
2) The updating process is slow. Been here for 20 miuntes and only 4% complete.

there you go

iROG-1 and iROG-2 are two separate firmwares. This just means that you're updating the first one.

And I'll second what Arne said. Looks like something is corrupted there. Under no circumstances it should take that long.
