New here and just like to say hello to all the mods and members first.
Starting new build and just need a little advice on some parts.

Parts Already.

Motherboard, Asus Rampage Extreme iv.
CPU, Intel 3930k.
GPU, Asus GTX 780.
SSD, Intel 520s 240gig.
Case, Cooler Master Cosmos II Ultra Tower.
All parts brand new and still in boxes.

Parts Considered.

PSU, Corsair 860i.
Water Cooling, Corsair h100i.
Memory/Ram i cannot decide on memory for the life of me
there is to many to pick from, that being said i was looking at
Corsair 16GB (4x4GB) 2133MHz DDR3, Dominator GT. or
Corsair 32GB (4x8GB) 2133MHz DDR3, Vengeance Pro.

I know the GT is very fast memory but it's only 16gig will the GT
out perform the 32gig of vengeance pro.
Appreciate any advice on memory modules and i have never used any
other type of memory than corsair and will the PSU and watercooling
be adequate for this build...Thanks for any help. cheers.

Missing Link eh? hah!! love the name! it's great to see so many new Aussies join us here in the Forums! I don't feel so alone anymore 😛

As for your question in regards to the RAM, though you have told us the rated frequency at which they run, what are their timings? that is the most important factor if you're planning on OverClocking. You h100i *should* be good, but, depending on the weather up your way, you might struggle a little....are you planning on adding any fans to your case for added airflow?

Cheers SilentShadow...glad to be part of the community, i lived in victoria myself for many years (Box Hill) and thanks for the reply regarding my dilemma in memory modules and after a little research and reading i'm still undecided but the timings on the ram go as...Dominator GT c9 (SPD Latency, 9-9-9-24) Vengeance Pro c11 (SPD Latency 9-9-9-24) so maybe the 32gig of vengeance pro may out perform the Dominator GT due to capacity but the GT may have better overclock ability...but anyways eventually i'll have to make up my mind or this rampage iv will never get built...cheers.

Dominator GT hands down mate, because of the lower timings. And unless you really need that much memory(say for vid editing etc), 16GB is pretty sweet for gaming right now.

Yeah... your right i sorta had my mind set on the GT but just needed abit of clarification...also regarding the H100i and the weather on the Gold Coast the rig is in a medium sized room with aircon thru summer so shouldn't have any probs there...also i got 3 noctula 120mm fans in my old cooler master stacker 832 that i can use if need be...thanks for ya help mate...excellent work.

Howz it going Viz...Myk is right, of course you looove us :D...but i still don't keep the ANZAC cookies and the English Muffins
