Anything goes here..Right? Well....

I was just outside 10:30PM EST..and the Moon is
bright Orange???

I have been looking up at that sky for a whole lot of years
now and have never, ever seen an orange Moon, not
even in Florida or the Texas desert. (Night Lights)

Creepy, Eerie Orange. Does anyone know anything
about this or have you ever seen this, now or ever?

Well..if this is the last that here is here...???

The colour depends on atmospheric conditions. It's almost white generally. But sometimes is yellow, even a bit orange

In Norway, orange? Really, in 54 years, I have never seen it like that.
We are here today though...so as you say..no biggie.
It is white from the suns light, I would think that if atmospheric
conditions were the reason the whole sky would tint orange.
It was like a barn fire on the side of a van, very strange.
As long as its not red....those Asus people will ROG anything.enjoy.c.

I used to live down in Southern California where wildfires would burn through the hills on an all too frequent basis. The ash from the fires would cause the sun and moon to look a burnt orange, even reddish, color.

If you were close enough to where the fires burned you would also end up with a dusting on your car that looked like snow but smeared all over if you tried to wipe it off.

That sounds like no fun at all.
I could see the city clearly, if its humid or
foggy..you cant..
The air quality must have been hideous.

hahaha..Well Junkie, I truly believe thats one of your long suits brother. When others see
orange, you see green. Thats what makes you soooo good at wut U do. (So far.)

For my own peace of mind I watch closely last night. At dusk, indeed all
the plants and trees were orangish...which was still the sunlight..coming
through, as ahlot pointed out, the atmosphere. @10:30, yep that moon
was orange....sooo now the question is...what is floating by (2 days in a row)
in the atmosphere that when dimmed light (sunlight is pure light..check color in sunlight)
shows itself orange?
Now what are they blowing up, up there? or around the world somewhere?
I know there are more important things to think about, maybe. But this world
is nothing more than a spinning water bubble in the middle of nothing, infested with..
...us.
Junkie, what do ya think? Mod it, Rog it...Fold it !! The ultimate Mod...RogMoon by J..
When asked, "So, What do you do?" "Are you published in any magazines?"

I once saw an orange moon. It was actually due to a really messed up eclipse where the atmosphere was apparently prisming the suns light onto the moon. Just happened to be orange. I still feel the best thing ever was the full lunar eclipse I saw several years back. You always expect the moon to disappear in the shadow, but you can actually see it clearly, its just black in colour. You can even still make out the craters and everything!

Yes, can you imagine primative man the first time he saw an eclipse....yikes...hahahahahaa...
What a beautiful thing.

When I lived in Florida I saw a few night launches of the shuttle...from 200 miles away...an amazing sight...the raw power.

No more orange lately...never would be too soon.. too creepy.
