Just purchased a G75VW. What to expect in terms of gaming?

I got a refurb unit off Newegg which I thought was a good deal. I plan on using this strictly for gaming, but I'm not sure what to fully expect. For example, I plan on playing the newest Final Fantasy MMO; how much trouble would I have running this game on med-max settings?

Depending on the model, you will have MORE than enough power to run it at max settings no problem. You may experience a somewhat lower frame rate than running it on the suggested settings, but your new machine is capable of above average performance. I have the G75-VW (geforce gtx 660m) and have pushed between 30-40 FPS in the FFXIV beta on max. When running on recommended settings (medium), I am able to achieve around 45-60 FPS. Congratulations on your purchase!
