    Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z and 2600k need OC HELP!

    Just purchased one of these boards, looking for alittle help
    can someone give me a template for 4.8-5.0ghz
    i'm watercooled, its not a great setup but it handled my 4.4ghz OC on my 920 perfectly
    any help would be highly appreciated.
    also Ram is Corsair Vengeance 1600 C8 2x4GB=8GB kit.

    Are you looking for a pre-defined template or a tutorial? Raja has written a tut for OC'ing which you might want to review.

    if your 2600k come from Costa Rica don't expect too much .

    Was hoping to find someone with a template to get me started, and how do i know if i got a good batch, whats the good stepping or stepping code etc, batch numbers

    just checked my 2600k is Made in Malaysia and batch number L104A418

    Costa Rica is just an assembly plant. It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the silicon.

    so far stable at 4.8ghz at 1.424 probably gonna try pushing the multi til its not stable and increase voltage til its stable again, hopefully i can get 5ghz and call it quits
