Whoop Whoop!!! got the RAM clocking along @ 1866 @ 9-10-9-24 1.65v and pushed my score further to 61727! might have to run RB2 later on after I wake and see what the drop will be without using the RAM Disk. Off to bed is after 3am

"Off to bed is after 3am."

G'night. My question of how you are utilizing the RAM disk will keep until tomorrow.

So, I've spent the better part of the morning collecting tips & tweaks to apply to boost my oc & my score (chasing that 110K badge!), but tonight I have to go to my office christmas party. lol I don't suppose they'd understand if I said I really *really* need to get home so I can benchmark instead?

Well if your monitor is 120hz you could set it to 50hz most monitors will do 50. I doubt it will have any effect but can't hurt to try.

Uhhh it's a 4GB drive that's empty except for holding a copy of RB2? lol

120hz? hahaha I wish mate, my screen is a whopping 1600x900 @ 60Hz..only option I saw in the control panel was 60, probably could figure out how to use a lower rate.

As far as the Page File goes, would it be better to create a separate partition on the drive, the same size as physical memory and use that? Or is it best to have Page File on same partition as OS install?

Uhhh, yeah. The reason I asked was because when I was trying this a while back RB seemed somewhat sensitive to the size of the RAM drive, but I didn't mess with it long enough to figure out if there was an optimal size or not.

Ahh ok now i got you, how much were you dedicating to the RAM Drive? unfortunately I can't test your theory as I only have 8GB RAM right now lol.

If I remember correctly, about 1450 MB was the smallest I could get to work right, but I think the bigger was always better by a small margin. I think 6 GB (out of 16) was the biggest I tested. I decided fairly early the gains were insignificant and it really wasn't worth the trouble. I didn't want to seem presumptuous in thinking you hadn't already tested or at least considered all of this and possibly come to a different conclusion than I did.
