Mods/Admins: Is ASUS doing something about this issue?

As we all know there's a global problem with G750 models regarding hissing static noise while headphones are connected to laptop. I browsed the forum and found no reference that ASUS even knows about the problem and is doing something about it.
Just look at the amount of complaint threads on the ROG forum regarding this issue:

How much more are people going to complain until ASUS addresses this issue? It's unacceptable that headphones are practically unusable with these EXPENSIVE laptops when even a 10$ MP3 player can handle headphones without making hissing background noises.
Can a Mod/Admin please confirm ASUS knows about the problem and is working on it?

I don't care if you don't have that problem. Did you see the amount of people that are complaining about it?
I don't have a gold Ferrari like people in Dubai is it worth mentioning? No.. so likewise your reply is irrelevant.
Reply if you have something useful to add not with useless comments.

That amount of ppl should consider this link http://www.asus.com/support/.
I know Asus rep's are answering some of the questions in this forum, but nevertheless it's not a true supportforum, more a "user to user" forum.
So aksing for support here is just as irrelevant as any other reply here..
My opinions are my own, I do not work for Asus or any other manufacturer of computers or computer parts. I do not speak on behalf of anybody, but myself.

You could not have it more wrong. This forum is the 'first line'. Most issues
are quickly resolved right here avoiding undue traffic @ 'official' support.
That is why 'here' is 'here'.

At least you have people with real problems that can get alot better support here than going to Asus Support. I can't tell you how many times I have called them and they had no Idea what I was talking about. IMHO there are you can get better support than you can from Asus Support.

That is how it works so well. Real users of the same products, many of them experts and pros.
Saving the time of 'Support' for actual RMA's or repairs, meaning faster turn arounds. .c.

Hello,
We are several customers encoutering the same issue in France with the jack and headphone, we are trying to build a list of person, hoping that Asus will recognize they have made a mistake somewhere. I believe that the customer should not have to buy anything else to enjoy a normal sound. Asus should be really gracefull for all the customers who can afford an high impedance headphone, or those who decide to buy an external sounds card to solve this... It's quite sad in my point of view...
I apologize for my english,
All the best

You need to contact ASUS support for your location. ASUS employees here are N. American support only.

Same issue, depends on headphones.
new drivers cut off the noise / circuitry when vol is 0, muted or no audio being played which is better. As soon as a game is opened you can hear it again.

I have a bad earphone / headphone habbit, so can test a few different sets if it helps. As the issue is widespread, it sounds like its either bad drivers or hardware.

If it is hardware, I don't see how it was missed during all the QC / design testing. Anyone know what chipset is used or is it all a part of the customised GPU?

With G750JX Sennheiser 570 headphones are fine (high impedance), but I hear static hiss with Beyerdynamic DT-660 (low impedance).. Beyerdynamic DT-660 is fine on my desktop computer with ASUS Xonar Essence STX (built in amp up to 600 Ohm).

So the issue is definitely not with my Beyerdynamic headphones.. It's kinda expensive if you have to buy several headphones to find ones that work with G750. Safest bet is to get bluetooth headphones or external audio card... or RMA your laptop.
i7-7700k @ 5GHz | Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero | 2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 4133 MHz | ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 OC 11 Gbps | ASUS MG279Q | Intel 256GB 600p NVMe | Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

My experience is as follows (clean win 8 install, latest drivers from Asus site). I have 2 sets of headphones:

1. SoundMagic PL30 in-ear headphones, 12 ohm impedance.
2. Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, 80 ohm impedance.

Both exhibit no hiss/static on my Fiio E07K dac.

Using the G750JX's headphone jack, there is very pronounced hiss for the 12 ohm in-ear headphones. The Beyers are dead silent, much like using the dac. Note that there's no crackle/popping static, this is just a constant hiss reminiscent of cassette players from the 70s (yes, I used to have one 🙂 ).

I can only assume that the built-in amp is high-impedance friendly, but doesn't like low impedance headphones. Of course, this is just one person, you'd need a lot more samples to generalise.

This.

Ive got hiss on 16 ohm phones (ie 80) and no hiss on 40 ohm phones (hifiman he 400).

Its a high output impendance problem, it cant be solved with software afaik its a hardware problem.
