wireless driver troubles with G750J

I put windows 7 on my gt50j series but the wireless driver from windows 8 is not applicable. i have an external wireless dongle right now, but i don't want to use that forever. Bluetooth also isn't working. In device manager, BCM20702AO and Network controller, are malfunctioning. ASUS support tells me that the computer will only work with windows 8, but since i wasn't given a cd with the computer, i'm stuck. and honestly i've had enough of 8, so i really don't want to switch. A couple people are having similar issues, but i have yet to find any solution.

Uninstall all the wifi drivers previously installed, now download and install this. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/PCE-AC66/DR_PCE_AC66_6309526_Win7.zip

thank you all, i got it with some help from Intel Dude, thank you again! 🙂

Having the same issue with hating Windows 8. Put Windows 7 on and am at the point where I'm trying to install drivers and there don't seem to be any for Windows 7. The zip driver that EplcSnlpErZ23 posted matched the device in the device manager but without having keyboard support (I think?) to enable the wireless device I'm not sure how to actually "turn it on". Has anyone successfully installed Windows 7 on the G750J yet and can share some links or insight? I have 30 days to return it and if I can only run Windows 8 it's going back in a heartbeat.

What model G750 do you have? For a G750JX & JW do a Google search – Windows 7 Clean Install Asus G750JX – Windows 7 Clean Install Asus G750JW - it’s the top thread on both searches and all the drivers are there.

I have a G750JH and all the Windows 8 drivers from Asus support site installed without any problems except for the USB 3.0 drive. I found a working driver on Intel site, below are links for Asus and Intel.

Device Manager

Thanks, that version of the Intel USB worked for me. In response to the OP if your wireless light is not showing the adapter being "on" you are missing the "ASUS Wireless Console" which you can also download from that page he mentioned. At least that was my problem. However now, even though I can toggle it on or off, my wireless still won't recognize any wireless connections or signals despite showing all sucessful driver installs. I'll try some of those other drivers that were mentioned again.

As a side note I also have a "clean" device manager which means some of the drivers must be wrong. I know the Wireless Console doesn't have any effect on the drivers in the device manager yet it still enables the "hardware" keyboard to detect the wireless toggles (shrug). So just looking for exclamation marks isn't all of it. Are you able to connect wirelessly with your system? What is the VEN and DEV codes for your wireless so I can see if ours are the same? Mine is: "VEN_14E4" and "DEV_43B1" which registers after the driver install (which is probably the wrong driver) as "ASUS PCE-AC66 802.11ac Network Adapter".

I have a G750JW.

I have a different wireless card then the one on a G750JW - have a look at the link below - others have said it works.

Already tried the dell version but no luck.

*edit* - Also the dell "version" shows a splash screen when run advertising it as a bluetooth setup application which I don't believe is related to the wireless card in any way?

I made all the driver installations but I ended up with a curious problem. As my WLAN driver I installed the driver coming from Asus (or I supose it is) gave from @Sniper (some replies above). http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/PCE-AC66/DR_PCE_AC66_6309526_Win7.zip - Anyway, The thing is, all my drivers are running fine but I can't get any wireless signal with the G750JX - Cable connection is tested. Works like a charm, but this wireless failure is driving me crazy.. Does anyone has any idea how to solve this?
