    Gaming headphones

I've looked around at a few headsets and come up with a couple that I like.

    ASUS ROG Orion PRO Headset
    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=22928

SteelSeries 7H Gaming Headset Fnatic Limited Edition
    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=24385

SteelSeries Siberia V2 Full Size Headset Heat Orange

I can't quite workout how much difference there is between them all, or which is the better choice. Advice to the differences and the better option would be great

There's not much difference in price so hat bit doesn't really worry me.

This is a great question, I am posing this one to myself as well. Specially because of all of this new usb drivers, and digital surround. Also our laptops come with a digital output so what's the point of all of this usb options.

If someone could shed some light on this subject I would be much appreciated.

I have a sony headset that I paid 10 bucks for at target 5+ years ago working w/o issues. I never could see the point in spending a good amount of money on headphones that I could accidently sit on. If I was going to spend a few 100 bucks I would get pro audio headset and not a "gaming" one. If you have your mind set on simulated surround sound, you can d/l this free driver http://www.razerzone.com/surround - None the less Steel Series do make great products and have been around for awhile.

What sort of pro audio headset would you recommend around the same price?

My old sony headset died so I went in internet looking for new ones. Well I looked at razer, astro (a-40's way to expensive well I got a pair of wireless headphones logitech H800 they are not classified as gaming but they include bluetooth so you can be in your game hit the button and you can answer the cell. So far they have worked great. I wear glass' and have not gotten any pain around the ears like some headsets will cause. The h-800's run $99 from logitech $79 from bestbuy I got mine new un-opened package from ebay for $59 I also bought my wife the h-600 wireless headset the sound is just as good but the h600 does not have Bluetooth. Batteries for both last 6 to 10 hours can be charged from pc or cell charger. also the gaming headset Logitech offers is the G-930 think they are $105.
Sorry this got so long but I can not see paying $299 or more for headphones. So for $59 bucks I have a very good set and I can answer the cell and continue playing. Hope this helps,

Howdy Asasen5 try out the logitech H-800 or the H-600 if you dont need bluetooth. If you do not like them return them.
