Asus G750jx -- Video through HDMI but no audio

I have an Asus G750jx laptop, and it is connected to a Vizio LED HDTV ~44in I think. I'm getting perfect video through it but I can't get any audio. Under Sounds > Playback Devices I see

E370VA-3 (I think this is my TV) -- NVIDIA High Definition Audio (not plugged in) -- Cannot set default device
NVIDIA HDMI Output (Port 1) -- NVIDIA High Definition Audio (not plugged in) -- Cannot set default device
Speakers -- sound comes out of my laptop
Realtek Digital Output -- no sound if i set default

Checking for updates showed that my drivers are up to date. Also, tried changing the order of which device was plugged in/turned on first etc between the TV and Laptop.

Any help is very appreciated! Trying to make my dorm the perfect place to chill with friends and watch stuff!

You can install Nvidia driver, which include audio options.

Connect everything, notebook to tv etc. Turn on TV, select hdmi input. Turn on Notebook. Sound goes to hdmi on tv.
