Pro-Star installed Win 7 on my G750JX, without a hitch so far as I am aware. If you do a search there are a few guides on how to do a Win 7 clean install on the 750. ASUS does not officially support it, but all the drivers work fine from my experience. (I don't think Pro-Star would be shipping notebooks out if this were not the case).
I would have done it myself but I honestly couldn't be bothered to downgrade Windows again, after doing so a few weeks before on my girlfriend's Samsung laptop.
Major head ache. Probably the best $90 I spent during the whole purchase from Prostar.
At the same time, if Win 8 is ever *actually* fixed, the key is embedded into the motherboard so I should be able to "upgrade" without any issues. But I really don't know if that day is coming. Win 8 is a mess from what I've seen.
