New G75VX is slow...

Hey guys, it's just about 5 days old and it's slow out of the box. Freezes sometimes, programs respond slow. what can I do to speed it up? thank you.

Also, I opened up th eback, and there should be two slots for the hard drives right, with one already taken up and a free one? I thought thats how it was supposed to be, but both my slots are taken up.. and I only have 1Tb space and no ssd

So then you have 2 500 GB 5400 hard drives? No wonder your running slow.

Suggest you run Hwinfo64 it will tell you everything about all your hardware. Then put your NB Info in your signature so we will know what you are dealing with!

replace the ****ty hard drive that comes with it to two 256 gb crucial m4s My win8 Boots in 2 seconds from cold boot

Where can I check on HWinfo if there are two 500GB hard drives? Can't seem to find the hard drive on there, sorry, not too intelligent on these topics.
