Wow, Nodens,
For a chip that officially launches in 11 days. kinda cutting it close on functionality of the UEFI. YOu would think all would of been ironed out already.
oh well, now I have a reason to wait for that other speculated item [sic]

Well a lot can happen in 11 days. And UEFI/BIOS engineering is not a walk in the park. Initial images that implement support for a new architecture are always bound to have some issues..it has always been like that
Adding support for a new model of the same architecture is easy but a whole new architecture takes a lot of work

After using the new bios it seems my beautiful asus rog loading splash thingie when starting windows 8 eufi is now reverted back to the old borring windows blue flag. Can I somehow set the asus slpash screen back or do i need to reinstall windows8?
EDIT
Seems settiing the logo from Full Screen to Auto did the job! Logo is back :PLast edited by William Clement; 08-25-2013 at 08:41 PM.

I have applied this Bios, although not for the RIVE as I have the RIVF
My issue is that in Windows the Fan Xpert now throws an error and does not work.
Update: Solved this - uninstalled AI Suite and ran the cleaner before reinstalling.Last edited by simonmaltby; 08-26-2013 at 10:07 AM.

I have a problem with new BIOS.
System freezes after couple of minutes with stock settings on CPU (@3.5GHz with Turbo Mode off) and memory (@1333).
Got Intel 3970x , dual GTX 690 and Corsair DDR3 4x 8GB 2400MHz CL10 DOMINATOR.
When I donwgraded BIOS to 4102 (haven't tried 4206) CPU runs easily @ 4.8GHz with Turbo and memory run @ 2400.

I just installed the4930K and i ended up with a bunch of unknown devices. base system device, performance counters and a system interrupt controller. Anyone got a clue?
Tried forcing chipset install but it didn't help. I'm using Rampage IV formula flashed to 4310 with win8 pro.Last edited by Raggz; 08-26-2013 at 10:00 PM.

I would venture you missing some inf files for the new CPU and have not been released yet. 9 more Days. although I've see a few others here work around it for now.
