When I power on to BIOS via F2 there is no option to boot to my USB DVD eg. to try live CD of other Linux OS distro. When I power up and let Ubuntu load and then do restart, at F2 I now have an option of my DVD! How can I ensure that I get this option ALWAYS without relying on the resident OS , which might not always be there in future? I am a novice so please explain any abbreviations or jargon. Thanks in advance
Hi Pitcher............thanks for reply. I think I have sorted it. Plug in USB DVD, power up notebook, F2 into BIOS -No DVD option, F10, F2 into BIOS, now I have DVD option. Strange behaviour, seems to need two goes at it but it works. So thanks again
