1015E Notebook with Ubuntu OS. Missing Bios DVD boot option. [solved?]

When I power on to BIOS via F2 there is no option to boot to my USB DVD eg. to try live CD of other Linux OS distro.
When I power up and let Ubuntu load and then do restart, at F2 I now have an option of my DVD! How can I ensure that I get this option ALWAYS without relying on the resident OS , which might not always be there in future?
I am a novice so please explain any abbreviations or jargon.
Thanks in advance

is you DVD able to recognize in OS? when you press esc to boot menu, is it stil can not post?

Hi Pitcher............thanks for reply.
I think I have sorted it. Plug in USB DVD, power up notebook, F2 into BIOS -No DVD option, F10, F2 into BIOS, now I have DVD option.
Strange behaviour, seems to need two goes at it but it works. So thanks again
