Ok my RMA'd Board should be here by friday. I was considering buying memory again just to be sure I can get it up and running. What do the Pro's reccomend ? What is the BEST, Fastest and most stable ? That will WORK ? by part number would be nice.
Thanks The Beave

I guess no one wants to stick their neck out. lol

If you still have your Corsair sticks, I would give them another try, and if they still won't work look at some G.SKILL F3-17066CL7D-4GBPIS 4GB (2 x 2GB).

It's on the QVL.

Everyone's going to have their preference I doubt there is a consensus on the best ram. From looking at the forums Gskill, Crucial, and Mushkins enthusiast lines are popular. 1600 seems to be fast enough for that board Im sure there are folks running faster than that but it takes alot of tweaking to get it done. There are some posts discussing getting RAM speeds over 1333 stable on the AMD platform.

The MB Spec sheet lists my memory as operable QVL ...Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 as does Corsairs compatability list .. IT SHOULD WORK ! ASUS should list the memory modules they used to acquire their posted benchmarks !
Im getting irritated enough at this point that if my in coming MB does the same thing its getting returned and I'm going Intel and I wont be back .. I hate to say this but 2 of my other gamer puters are running intel with never a problem and they are grossley over clocked. Not new by any means and have been running full tilt for over 4 yrs and keep up just fine with my prior AMD setup .. 970BE on a M3A32MVP OC'ed. I guess I'll quit venting untill I get my RMA'd MB returned.. If it actually works then I'll apoogize for my rants. but I have my doubts thus so far.

I have that very same kit CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 in my CHV and it runs @1866 9-10-9-24 2T very well. No problems. I had some Corsair Dom GT that would BSOD every cold start. Got sick of fooling with it and got the Vengance instead.

Being ingnorant and ingnored one post at a time.

I have G Skill stick running well at 1600 mhz on a 890 fx

I have g.skill sniper series 1866 RAM (it's on the QVL and in the user manual). I originally got the DRAM_LED, but once I RMA'd the board, I was able to use the same ram, and now it's running just fine at 1872 (2x4gb). So I wouldn't assume it's the RAM until you've tried the sticks you already have on the new board.

Great memory for the C5F is the Ripjaws 1600/7-8-7 8GB kits. This seems to be more money than most are willing to spend though.
