I just got a Galaxy S4 and I love that I can turn devices on/off. I have a LG TV as my monitor which works well with it.

I thought it would be great if I could turn my PC on/off with my Galaxy S4 since it has IR! Would I be able to use ROG Connect to do this? I read that I might be able to buy a TV tuner card that allows this capability...

Any other ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Not sure about this one, the key factor here for me is that I never power my system off any longer. And since I can remotely power on my system from sleep using my phone or remote system I have never looked at IR at all.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
