Damn ... socket 2011 exist since november 2011 ... i can't understand why is it so long to make this mainboard ... Just like the Evga X79-Dark which needed 3 month to come on Europe. They should have done it for september when Ivy-Bridge-E was out.

I agree that any confirmation "Yesterday" from anybody on this forum, on the website, or youtube would've been really cool. But the 29th date WAS announced and confirmed. Changes in release dates happen all the time with hardware. I too would've appreciated a heads up not to expect it last night. Just sayin....
No one got warned and flamed for speaking their mind. You should read the posts again. Slowly this time. It's one thing to speak one's mind and another to start cursing and posting in caps with rumblings that confuse other people as well and cause a chain of events that have no substance or meaning.

It was never stated that the boards will be AVAILABLE in the USA at the 29th of October.

    Specifically, Richard said this:

Which was a hint on when final boards will be sent. It was not an official statement on a global availability date. It was not an official statement at ALL. It was a comment meant as a hint for all the people that were asking. From that date on, shipments must arrive to distributors, processed, then sent to retailers which also need to process etc etc. Also each region has their own distributors with its own mechanisms.
If he had an exact official date for global availability he would have given that and stated that it is so. Now if people choose to read anything they want into this, they are welcome to do so. But deducing whatever and then starting to curse and whine like a little kid that something did not happen as promised (something that never happened in the first place), is grounds for a warning. Period.

At this point I would have to agree with Praz, that perhaps Richard should not have hinted anything at all and should have let you still having no relative idea of when you should expect things until an official date existed for him to share with you.

But then again there are people who understand what was said and appreciate the hint. You can choose to be one of those or you can choose to pretend that an official global availability statement was ever made, that it also got falsified and that ASUS will bring the end of your world for doing so. In both cases, behaving like an adult is a requirement here.

EDIT: Skupples is now on a 3-day vacation hoping he will cool off and contemplate on his behavior.
