The LGA2011 socket is indeed standard. Any LGA2011 block will do.

I didn't mean use only nickel as material ofc. But have memoryblocks, chipset blocks that match the "full nickel version": http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/cpu-...ll-nickel.html
Im a neatfreak and so far they have the clear cpu, plexi cpu and nickel cpu but only acetal and plexi memory / chipset. This does not match my gpu wich only exist in acetal / nickel(I should state thats what available to me and my config)

Nickel plating provides excellent corrosion protection. The problem lies in manufacturers cheapening out on their plating practices. Also, users should be aware of mixing metals with high electric potential differences.

I think that board is gonna be awesome (especially if they launch an armored one with a good quality Copper-Nickel CrossChill two or three weeks later, I don't mind about waiting for such a thing).
It would be great (also) if ek, Koolance or xspc craft an special edition watercooling kit for this board (with cpu block, chipset block, some good quality copper-nickel tubes, ram blocks and two gpu special edition blocks). I think that the price it's gonna be around 475US$ (or 530US$ for the armored one, if they release it) What do you think about this hypothesis. Please comment.

Board looks awesome. I am probably way in the minority of potential users here but I wish ASUS would quit wasting pcie lanes on whatever third party SATA controller they feel the need to throw on these boards and give us all 40 lanes from the CPU so we can do SLI or Crossfire and still have a 5th slot at x8 to run an actual RAID card. Again probably just me but when I shell out this kind of money to build a high end system I am not going to be satisfied with the in my opinion lame controllers that get built into these boards.

Well if you don't go Quad SLI/Crossfire you should have no issue with that. I use dual SLI on my dev system with an LSI Megaraid card and I don't even use that slot. Now if you want to go Quad, you can always use the original RIVE.
