CF V + Phenom X4 970T BE (Thuban) = Vcore issues

Hi,

i urgently need a new BIOS that supports Phenom X4 970T BE (Thuban die, not Deneb). My chip boots at 1.164V and even if I set 1.8V under cascade it still doesn't go over 1.2V. I think there must be something wrong with the VID tables.

My other X2 250 and X3 435 work flawlessly, even up to 383MHz HTT bus with 1:2 CL6-7-6-15-18-1T.

Best Regards,
Niko

You need to tell us what Mother board you are running ? Most all of the latest Bios.rom's will allow the upgrade to the Phenom II since the M3a32 (maybe more)

just read is title the OP clrealy write the kind of board and cpu he have ....

The CHV should detect the thubman correctly, mine did with the 970 but was downgrading all the voltages on the 1100T

It detect the 970T BE normaly but the stock voltage is stuck to 1.164V and I cannot get it higher than 1.200V.

Hence the chip fails to run at default speed.

It runs normally in my old ASUS M4A78T-E.

Ohh another thing. you dont want to use the "UNLOCKER" switch if your running a "BLACK" edition procesor as it is already unlocked I've noticed that with mine it just locks the puter up but others have told me it actually locks theirs like a non BE . Just a thought.

I'm not using ASUS Core Unlocker, it is put on disabled. This is not a core unlocking issue but a weird VID table glitch.
