raptorjesas, I haven't used this fix yet myself, but seeing as how I have needed it before, it is good to know about it. Let us know if it works for you
🙂http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9413-services-restore-default-services-windows-8-a.htmlThere is a good suggestion in the comments, if you have a restore point before you changed the service configs, you could roll back to that restore point to fix the problem.
There are quite a few other sites with similar info/help, if that one doesn't work for you.
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+default+windows+8+services&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.moz...From previous experiences I would recommend doing all the enabling/setting of parameters by hand, it is a good training exercise and it got me familiar with the services, what they did, and what depended on each one.
Now I can go into the service menu and figure out on my own what is needed and what isn't - and enough to know what I can play with without killing the machine and if I do push my luck and disable something I shouldn't I know how to recover from it. All fun stuff
