HI,
My Asus G53SW fan stop working causing my laptop temperature to rise up to 100 °C even in idle state or whenever i watch youtube in HD.
I cant hear anything from the fan and im assuming the fan died since it's already been two years.
My warranty already expired and I'm wondering, how much will it cost to repair it?Can I replace the fan with the one from asus e-store?

if you can, i think you can do youself, but i suggest you call to service center to ask and send to repair it.

@tmjohari, I would like a link to the fan that you are thinking of. You should be able to do it yourself, if you are careful, and you have plenty of time. Disassembling the G53's takes a lot of time, and it is complicated (lots of tiny screws). It's not excessively difficult, just time-consuming. To get to the fans, you will have to completely disassemble the computer, beyond even that required to upgrade the HDD and memory. For this reason, I would echo @Pitcher@ASUS's statement and suggest you contact your local service center.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!
