What is wrong with my Asus G46

Bought this laptop in July. This is frustrating. When I want to restart the laptop, it gets stuck loading on the stupid restart blue screen for God knows how long. I have to force shut down to turn it on again. Second, when it says Update and Restart, God knows how long it updates for and clearly its not doing anything ( i left it on for the night and it still says updating...)

Anyone know the solution to this?

Sounds odd, to be honest. I would consider trying to "Refresh" the install if it is Windows 8. If Windows 7, back up everything and reinstall. It honestly sounds like something is corrupted - bad update or bad drivers.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Looks like some Windows update corrupt files or something similar.
If you can, try to restore Windows to a previous working restore point or even better, try to restore the system to factory. If your personal files are on the additional partitions from the SATA drive, just restore the Windows partition on the SSD and your personal files will not be touched/lost.
