G75VX - won't restart after latest Win8 driver update

Any clues folks how I get this thing back up and running?

I don't have a disc or a restore point...

Diagnostics tells me I have a problem...it restarts and the cycle repeats.

Holding down "F8" on restart does jack all.
I just get the your PC had some issues bozo...attemping repair....unable to repair...please repeat cycle until you use this laptop as a boat anchor...

Had to do an F9 return to factory default settings.

Step 1 will now be to disable auto updates....
Step 2 will be remove Win8...

Glad you sorted it out. Same thing happened to me about a month ago. Its something about one of the windows updates screwing with the video drivers, especially of you did not have the stock drivers.

Nothing solved it except for a restore. I have disabled updates, and can't wait to get away from windows 8/8.1/8.infinity/windows zillion ect.

Might just have to get back to my Linux days.
I use to say ASUS like AZEUS because I thought their products were the Gods of electronics...

so now you can not boot os and press F9 to restore still not help? i think you can uninstall asus live update, if you want to install new driver, direct download from asus website.
