Mouse Recommendation

Liger
Level 7
Hi guys, I'm in the market for a mouse at the moment to use with an Asus G750JW laptop which will be stationary on a desk 95% of the time. I don't do much gaming just Football Manager and Total War. Other than this its used for browsing and social networking etc.

I had the Logitech M510 or M705 in mind however I'm open to change. Do any of you guys have a recommendation of either of these 2 or any others?

Thanks,
H

MX perfomence , it's much better than the 2 models that you've mentioned.

I can't say anything about any others but I have the M510 and am happy with it. I don't game at all though. I just use mine for AutoCAD and web browsing. But it is solid, reliable and cheap.

I'm also looking at this mate but wasn't sure if it would be overkill for my usage?

To be honest mate the games I play are hardly gaming, nothing like Call Of Duty or anything that requires speed and precision so the M510 would probably be ample. How do you find the scroll wheel, I've heard a few moans about that?

Need to have a look at this, thanks Myroslav!

I normally don't recommend brands as a whole, but Logitech is a great choice due to their amazing return policies (can attest to them in the US and UK). I've had 3 Logitech mice over the last 10 years, when the 1st and 2nd broke after years of heavy use all I had to do was send a picture of the mouse as an email attachment and I got a new one in the mail with no questions asked (in both cases a newer model, as the original was no longer manufactured, and in both cases I ended up with a better mouse than what I had had). While I think they no longer give 5-year warranties like they used to, they are still a very solid choice just for this.

Currently I have a G700, I particularly like the mini usb receiver. I did buy a deathadded for my brother as a present once, it broke down 3 times in a year and now he's using a G700 as well. Admittedly I may have gotten a bad mouse, but Razer has nothing on Logitech returns.
