Hi, need help please, just fitted a AMD FX 9590 8-core to my new Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard seems to run okay but getting random freezes mainly in internet explorer and the loading of games
Any help would be appreciated

check temps through hwmonitor and report back the vrm temps.

o.O i've never seen VRM temps in HWMonitor

Sorry, I meant package temp. And those temps seem typical for that CPU.
Perhaps it's a memory setting issue.

OP please have a look at the OS event viewer to find out what is causing the problems.

What have you set your memory speed as, and which cooler are you using.


Please do post full hardware list when posting a problem folks it makes problem solving so much quicker. 🙂

I would strongly suggest you borrow a different PSU, I am particularly worried about the 12v rail.

What did the event viewer suggest the issues were caused by?

The PSU is the only part I have not swapped over looking for the problem but had no problems with it with the FX 8120 fitted. I'm new to the system build, what should I be looking for in the event viewer
