Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that cores don't park under Win 8 64. I have turned all c states from Auto to Enabled and there is no movement in the CPU resource monitor, but it still doesn't show parked.
Under Win 7 64 I would have at least 4 cores showing as parked.

I am most certainly seeing downclocking of both the voltage and the core in Windows 8.1

The strange thing is, I have my cpu BIOS voltage set to 1.200v @ 4.4, when I look in Cpuz, my cpu is showing 1600 idle @ 1.216v and when it goes to 4400, my voltage drops to 1.200v

So I am seeing downclocking but still no parking. It is no big deal about the parking, but I am a little OCD when it comes to my computer lol.

You have set your voltage, I find that I only get down clocking of my vcore if I offset.

I am just having a look a offset HiViz, so I might give it a try. The down clocking I am seeing is only the core speed, the core voltage seems to go down when the core speed goes up, only by 0.016v though.

That swing is when your CPU is loaded or not. What LLC do you have set?

And what power plan do you have set in OS

I have the balanced plan in my OS, and the swing is 1.200 core voltage when CPU is loaded, and 1.216 core voltage when CPU is idle.

LLC is set to Medium.

Edit,
Just set LLC to high and now core voltage is 1.208v under load and 1.216v idle.

I must be missing something,

I did F5 to set default settings, then loaded windows and opened CPUz. When Idle @ 1600 my core voltage is 1.088v and under load @ 3900 it is 1.288v, but when I go back into the BIOS and change turbo ratio to manual and input 44 in the core ratio settings, my core voltage under load @4400 is 1.296v and it stays there, it doesn't drop when the core speed drops to 1600.

No worries, want to try Offset?

Lets do it.

In bios F5 to reset defaults and enter.

XMP as mode of OC

Multi to 44x

Digi+

LLC to medium

VCore
Mode to Offset
+
0.020

F10 save and enter

Now in BIOS open CPUz and see what your idle vcore is.

Do some stress test or load your CPU and see the vcore under load.

You can play with the amount of vcore you use to fine tune your OC.

Nice one HiViz, set my multi to 45, offset to -0.060 and I am running 1.064v @ idle and 1.256v under load, wow I have had this Mobo for 10 months and I am still finding out how to use it properly.

I will have a play with the offset under more load, as you say I might have to go +0.020 as I haven't stressed it yet, just ran a game in windowed mode to see how it went.
