HPET, Do we have it?

I just noticed that a lot of people have been talking about HPET in the bios and making sure it is enabled for better timing. I F2 into the bios on my ASUS G73JH and i do not see the option for it. Do we have it?

I also remember that HPET option is also missing in my G53JW. So is it useless to force it to remain disabled under Windows?

This is from a G53SW

[ 0.000000] hpet clockevent registered
[ 0.410320] hpet0: at MMIO 0xfed00000, IRQs 2, 8, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0
[ 0.410326] hpet0: 8 comparators, 64-bit 14.318180 MHz counter
[ 0.413342] Switching to clocksource hpet
[ 1.218423] rtc0: alarms up to one year, y3k, 242 bytes nvram, hpet irqs

so yes we do have it, even though its not a bios option.
