Hi All,

I m a masters student in NC ,I had a G55vw asus brought on dec 2012 . I was held at gun point and my laptop was taken. The police requested for a serial number and i had already given it to them. I run windows 8 and I haven't uninstalled any softwares given by asus, can anyone help or give me some ideas to recover my lost laptop.

Everyone input is so vital to me. Please do help me

Very sorry to hear this.

First of all, change all your online passwords for services you use to start with.

You really have to let the police handle it now. ASUS only installs LoJack on its business and commercial notebooks I'm afraid: https://www.asus.com/Commercial_Notebook/ASUSPRO_ADVANCED_BU400V

Isnt there software you can download that tells you the location of your laptop....?
