Greetings,
Im looking to build a gaming pc because im no longer able to play on my laptop
My Budget is 2000$
I want the build to follow the ROG theme which I adore the most
I want to have a intel 4770k processor with a 240mmCooler Master Eisberg as its cooler and im aiming to overclock it to 4.2ghz
for the motherboard im stuck between the beauty of the maximus 6 formula and the low cost of the maximus 6 hero
for the ram im thinking of getting two red corsair vengeance and two black corsair vengeance to follow a red & black theme
for the graphics im aiming to have two gtx 780 Ti's in sli and ofcourse the dcuii version
for the case im really loving the Corsair 650D but if ya'll got an idea for another case let me know
for the powersupply i dont know if the Corsair 860i will be enough for it do let me know

So guys what do ya think?
I would love to hear your suggestions and ideas bear in mid that my budget is 2000$
Do help me out here...
Thanks,

I'd go with corsair dominator platinum ram, it's not as color coordinated but it has a black PCB, black coolers, and chrome. Also the ram is tight, 0 problems for me.

"My Budget is 2000$"

You have kind of killed that already. "Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti, will be $699 when it hits shops on 7 November."
I would have thought your CPU, Ram and Mobo would eat the rest before we got to talk PSU and cases. Despite that slight overspend the system should be sweet.

The 2 780ti's will take up most of your budget. 780's have had a big price drop but still you're looking at over a 1000. How about the 290x now & 1 later. Also GSKILL ram is every bit a good but costs less. Good luck on your build and welcome to the board...

First off, do you have a 120/144Hz monitor because if you dont you wont be able to see the 120+ frames per second with a gtx 780Ti SLI setup. If you have a 60Hz monitor then one 780Ti will easily play all your games ULTRA @ 60+ frames.

Also the 750D has issues mounting the Maximus VI Formula from what I've heard so you could get the 900D and NEVER have to worry about buying a case again.. I have the Formula and it does perform and overclock better than most boards.

A 860i will power an SLI setup and overclocked CPU. Or buy a 1200i and never have to worry about power. I have one and I dont mind its overkillness.

I suggest this build....

Use your extra $300 for games and stuff or save.

If this system is purely for gaming, have a look at the Maximus VI Formula board. I am curious as to why you would need 32GB of RAM for your system, unless you are doing high level rendering and video editing it really isn't necessary to have that much, I would look at higher frequency memory in a 16GB kit if I was you, something around the 2400MHz - 2800MHz range using a 4x4 DIMM modules setup. These kits have better clocks/timings than the 32GB kits, however it is up to you, just a suggestion. 🙂

NOTE: What ever you do... STAY AWAY from Corsair Vengeance memory as it is completely useless for any decent computer build.

It seems that it's gonna be a pretty nice system... 🙂

Only one comment regarding your original idea to get different colored RAM modules/kits - it is not a good idea mixing different kits!!!

Those times when you could extend the amount of RAM by only getting an another module is gone... today we have the kits, meaning modules which were binned together... each kit, even the specs seems the same may be quite different... - not saying that definitely won't work if you mix two kits, but be prepared for likely issues...
