Inspect CPU for bent pins before you start tweaking memory related voltages. What you describe is usually one of three things:

    1) Bad memory module
    2) Bent pins
    3) DIMM slot is dirty or too tight, preventing module from making proper contact (try reseating the module several times).

As a last note, test the RAM with Memtest86+. It's quite possible for a RAM module to be faulty but only failing while RAM density is high and connecting it solo not preventing POST.

    Roger that Nodens,

    Will do as you suggest.

I've run Memtest before, but it's been a while.
Do I do this on a per module basis ie only 1 stick of RAM in or can the test be done on all 4 sticks at once?

PS...did anyone pick up on the BIOS info and the Bios version not matching?
    Shouldn't BIOS 1002 have a version date of 12/11/2013?

If you can get it to boot to Memtest with all 4 try that first. It's better if you do at least 3-4 passes on each stick separately. Use the DIMM slot furthest from the CPU to test.

No, the BIOS version is tested internally before it's released to public so the version date will always be few days to weeks earlier than the release date on the website. The exemptions are critical fixes that depending on the situation can go through accelerated internal testing.

Thanks lads, got some great feedback from G.Skill as well, I've tested all RAM sticks in place removing a single different stick each time and I've narrowed it down to 1 dodgy stick...I hope.

Running Memtest on the remaining 3 sticks overnight and I'll test the single stick tomorrow and let you know how I go.

    Issue resolved I hope.
G.Skill have agreed to replace the faulty RAM.

I’ve fully tested all the ram sticks and found 1 stick to be at fault, you have no idea how much of a relief that is…knowing I don’t need to inspect CPU pins etc.

In 18 attempts I managed to get this 1 stick to post once at 1333MHz and ran it through MemTest86+…it got through 1 pass and then locked up, I have not been able to post with it since and I tried at least a dozen times over each of the memory slots.

Certainly a bad module. It happens RMA your kit and you'll be fine!

If it's no longer on the site you may want to flash another version. Usually getting pulled offline means it has some major flaw.
