I just bought an i7-4820k and TUF STH X79 updated bios 4502 (2 months ago)

I am confirming that ASUS Deliberately CORRUPT the virtualization since is not working at all

Intel confirmed that my CPU is fully capable of Vt-x/d and XEN or ESXi should work without any issue.

    XEN can not see Vt-d.

ASUS ignored me (so far...) my email [Your Comment ID is: WTM20131215114551434] and I am really upset

I HAD bought everything ASUS (video cards, dvd, MB, monitors, router, etc.) for the last 3 PC that I built, if I don't have help/resolution from ASUS I will never buy ASUS ever again and I will post on my blog/youtube channell everything so people will know ASUS in a different way.

I felt they don't care at all after your purchased a component.

    That is my humble opinion.

I'm sure ASUS is looking at getting this resolved. VT-d should not be assumed which is why Intel has the following footnote in the specs for your processor.

‡ This feature may not be available on all computing systems. Please check with the system vendor to determine if your system delivers this feature, or reference the system specifications (motherboard, processor, chipset, power supply, HDD, graphics controller, memory, BIOS, drivers, virtual machine monitor-VMM, platform software, and/or operating system) for feature compatibility. Functionality, performance, and other benefits of this feature may vary depending on system configuration.

    Use this for now: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64810339/9502.rar

It's a beta version that enables support for VT-d on IB-E chips and RIVE.

No, you have to wait for that one.

Do you have any idea if ASUS is really working on a solution for X79?
I googled for Vt-d & X79 issues and there are more than a year old ...

and the solution never shows up ...

That's because X79 does not have VT-d issues. I'm using VT-d just fine with SB-E chips. The problem is with IB-E chips. They need work on the UEFI for VT-d to work. The beta I posted for RIVE is proof enought that they're working on it.

I have to disagree with you Nodens

There are several post that shows Vt-d issues with Sabertooth X79 BIOS version newer than 1203.
In fact I am one of them with BIOS v4502 and big issues with Vt-d (see my post in TUF forum)

Vt-d is not working at all in TUF Sabertooth X79.

    With SB-E or IB-E cpu?

EDIT: Because you said you were using a 4820K. That's an Ivy Bridge-E CPU. I said it's working fine with Sandy Bridge-E CPUs. If you have troubles with VT-d on Sabertooth WITH SB-E cpu then it's isolated to the UEFI of that specific model it's not an issue with X79 as VT-d works perfectly fine for me here with xen kernels on the RIVE.
