There's no need to keep up with the senseless bumping.

It was already noted earlier there would be nothing new until after CNY (Chinese New Year) and that typically goes on through the 15th give or take a few days.

Take a chill pill. You'll have the support soon enough.

Don't be so to the wire. It may be after that as well. You are welcome to contact ASUS Support France if you feel you need to keep communication open.

If you need the functionality right now that might be the best option for you.

This topic has been created in november, we are in late february ... the only thing that we can be sure is that asus do not want to correct it. 5 month isn't enough to add it ? Certainly too long if we really want to add it ...

It may take some more time. I think if you're stuck you may want to push via ASUS France as there are no reps from France on this forum.

Vt-d/IOMMU and AMD Catalyst drivers, Linux

Yes, yes, I know Linux is not supported. However, for the benefit of anyone who wants to know:

If you install the AMD Catalyst drivers (latest releases for Linux, using generic kernels 3.10+) and then activate Vt-d (beta BIOS 9502), you will get a hung terminal with a black screen when trying to run X. Deactivate Vt-d and all is well again, with normal function. I have no idea whether this problem is specific to the RIVE and BIOS 9502, or to Ivy-E or whether all AMD Catalyst drivers are incompatible with IOMMU on intel platforms. Open source radeon drivers run fine, but are limited with respect to 3D acceleration depending on how new they are.

That's an AMD driver issue (as usual heh).
