g53sw alt key won't work

Hi everyone, 2 days ago both alt keys stop working... I have an asus g53sw, tried many combinations fn+ numlock etc but nothing works. Anyone know a fix?

please make sure your alt key is ok? you can download hbktest to test your kb, other kb test tool. if damage, please replace it.

I checked it ...nothing, it's like both alt keys are disabled somehow.

Few more ideas below (feel free to ignore any of them).

1. Compare with an external USB keyboard to see if there is any difference.

2. Test in Windows Safe Mode (alt + F4 should close a selected window like File explorer) by tapping 'F8' after warm booting or exiting the bios to get into Safe Mode.

3. Make sure your keyboard language hasn't been changed.
