Windows 8.1 fix

After hours of troubleshooting, I came across this solution to get the drivers functioning properly in windows 8.1

The problem first arose for me when attempting to watch netflix.

Hit Win+R to open the run command

Type in "Regedit" to open the registry editor

Navigate to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Audio]
"DisableProtectedAudioDG"=dword:00000001

Set the value from "1" to "0"

Reboot your system and test functionality

Just 2 quick questions:
1. "properly"? I have the drivers running, didn't see a problem so far. What seems not to work? (my value is set to "1" btw.)
2. what's this switched supposed to do?

AIUI, the issue is with Protected Audio under Windows 8.1 (Netflix and Xbox Audio both use this, right?), which apparently was changed versus vanilla W8. (The WHQL driver fixed it under vanilla W8, as per an earlier comment from Raja.) The registry hack force-enables it, if I'm remembering my registry-fu correctly.

Breaks Dolby Home Theater thou.

It works
