Hi everyone. First post here, be patient with me... 🙂

I have the Maximus V Gene and i5-3570K CPU, and I hav been following this guide (http://rog.asus.com/184142012/maximus-motherboards/guide-overclocking-the-core-i5-3570k-to-4-5ghz-on...) to set up an overclock. But after everything is set up, and the computer has rebooted, the OS is still reporting the default clock speed? There must be something silly I´ve forgotten or missed, but I cannot find it.... Some help please?

I would suggest that your OS is reading the CPU frequency incorrectly. Download CPUz and see what the application shows for your processors speed when under some load.

Yer windows doesn't read your CPU clock speed at all thats what i've found mine reports 3.5Ghz all the time ether when im on 100% load or my system is idling @ 800Mhz, Download CoreTemp it will report the right clock speeds and you can also watch your core temps.

Ah, I see that I should have mentioned that I am running a GUI-less Linux install... Sorry about that!
