Overclocking the CORSAIR 4GB KIT DDR3 2133MHz CL9 Dominator GT DHX on Gene-Z

Retired

hello

i used the X.M.S profile of the Ram, which tweaked it to 2133 Mhz (more is not possible on the Gene-Z)

but i want to know, if i can band down the CL9 timming to CL7, and how extectly to do it safe

i have mem tweakit, but as there are too many parameters

i would set
in primary timing
CAS latency 9 -> 7
Ras precharge 9 -> 7
Cycle timing 24 -> 27

but there is also secondary timing and many other option, so iam not sure if it would be ok

Try CAS 8 first. Ignore the sub-timings for now, they are minor performance boosters compared to CAS. The issue is that running tighter CAS often requires more VDIMM and sometimes VCCIO. So it really comes down to what you are comfortable setting those voltages to.
