Fresh and Old Windows Install no usb or ps/2 keyboard response no internet

I finally got the loop flowing and I installed Ubuntu 12.04 (Black Opal) with no major issues there (on a 60gb SSD). However I go to back after previously installing Windows 7 Pro to notice that during and after the install I had no usb keyboard response (I have 3 keyboards and a ps2 adaptor all failed) and no internet (ethernet cord). Note that Ubuntu had no such issues with anything whatsoever. I'm not sure what's going and to top it off my older install of windows isn't responding either. I'm probably just being to impatient.

The motherboard is new from Asus after an RMA. Nothing is wrong with the keyboards (they both work find in Ubuntu and my notebook computer). Everything else is working fine. The new install of Windows is on a 240gb ssd, and the old install is on a 1tb HDD. Both read and write on Ubuntu. Both have the same issue. Any further questions let me know. Trying to get this fixed by next Friday.

Have you tried ALL of the USB ports? It sounds like you're missing some drivers for Ethernet and USB

I have a lot of things plugged up. Everything else works but the keyboards and ethernet. Everything works in Ubuntu so it can't be the ports.

How would I go about installing drivers without internet?

Ight, sigh, had to download the ethernet drivers and go from there. Never had this happen after an install ever. I wonder what kept the drivers from installing.

Thanks for the message it helped me think.
